Memories of CaNdYcAnE LaNe

Oh my Oh my...what a busy month!!! So much to do!  December always flies by...I can't believe that my Babydoll is turning 20 on the 23rd!! Birthday and Christmas side by side!!!

I've got list of things to do at least ten miles long....doesn't leave me much time to play in blogland...but I just had to send Jolly Holiday Wishes to everyone! 

I'm posting some photos from last years annual trip down "CandyCane Lane"....I'm hoping that we will venture out this weekend to enjoy the magic of this festive neighborhood that has been putting up wonderful decorations for the past 40 years.  I have so many jolly memories of Candycane Lane...I loved going as a child and it is so fun to share the holiday magic with my children!!!  Candycane Lane 2010 will be posted soon...revisiting our trip for last year as really made me excited for this year...until then... Happy Happy Holidays to all!!!

Making trailer progress...

I'm making some progress with the Lollygag-Inn!!! Been working inside her all weekend...sanding, sanding, sanding, and more sanding!! I almost have her to the point to start painting! Yippee!!! I just keep thinking about the gals at Junk Gypsy...if they can do it, so can I!!! I've never taken on a project like this one before....and everyone keeps asking...are you done yet...are you done yet??? Yet??? I'm just getting started!!! So much to do...I want her to be perfect!!! I've been having a blast finding the fun funky stuff to place inside her...and I am so looking forward to the decorating! 1970's rockin blue velvet bedspread for the main bed....turquoise faux tooled leather for the seat covers...glittered gold metallic paint for the ceiling...hot pink port-a-potty...so many ideas!!!  And flooring??? I just can't decide what I want to do?  I guess I'm gonna have to head over to the home improvement store...oh and while I'm there I'm gonna pick out some little bottles of paint colors to paint each of the drawers...perfect size and only 2 bucks each! I will be able to have them mix me up some gypsy inspired colors! Well, I guess I know what I will be doing this week....and as soon as she is looking good and funkified I will post some pic's for you all to see....

Boy Oh Boy does this grab you in!!! I'm hooked!! I'm having fun trying to get my design layout just right...but when is enough enough and good enough?  Let me introduce you all to my family....I'm gonna use our Halloween pictures because they are the newest...



This is my son, he is 7 years old and is crazy wild about WWE...so of course for Halloween he had to dress up as WWE Superstar John Cena!

This was our Halloween....tons of fun and lots of goodies!!! Playing dress up is such a hoot!!! We are thinking about making a new family tradition and dressing up has Indians on Thanksgiving...
