Hello to my BlogLand Friends...hope 2011 has started out wonderful and full of Love Laughter and Tons of Fun for you all!!!
Here's the skinny of what I've been up to.....The end of 2010 I caught that dreaded sickness that just will not go away...you know the one were you are sick as dog one day then the next you feel a little better and think okay I'm feeling better...I can get on with life and then....BAM the next day you're sick again!!!
It all started the day before my daughters 20th birthday on December 23rd...so much to do...picking up the cake...decorating...wrapping presents...food...the list never ended!! I really do not know how I made through the day and survived the celebration!!! Right before the guests where to arrive I just kept telling myself...you can do it...you can do it...you picked up the cake (the most important part of a birthday celebration) so the party will be a success!!!! Thank Goodness it was...all went perfectly and my Babydoll was one very Happy Birthday Girl!!!

Whew....made through that...but then!!! Here comes Christmas Day!!!
My Momma and Papa are the BEST!!! Knowing how sick I was they offered to have us over to their house for Christmas Dinner....Lucky Me!!! We always have Christmas at our house...Momma and Papa get up extra early and truck on over to watch their "gang" open gifts from Santa and enjoy Christmas morning with us... And what troopers they are..even this year they arrived early to watch us all!!! Even though there was lots of cooking to be done at their house!!! My Papa is the best cook ever!!! Or should I say CHEF...because nothing I ever make tastes like what he creates!!! Pure restaurant quality he delivers!!!! Although I really, really, really enjoy his creations (the best Beef Wellington ever) I have to say I that I really, really, really do not like him spending the entire day in the kitchen!!! Christmas 2011 must just be a put in the oven and enjoy the day kind of dinner!!! Needless to say...even though I was still feeling very much under the weather...Our Christmas was Awesome!!! Nothing like spending the entire day with family and friends that you love!!!

So here comes the New Year...feeling better but still a bit dazed and confused...I rang in the New Year with my best Buckaroo! Just me and him...watching the ball drop! Then out went the lights... New Years Eve is not one of my most favorite times for celebration....for some reason it gives me major anxiety all day!!! I know..I'm kinda strange!!! LOL
Anyways...so on with the month... Down came the Christmas decorations and out went the tree...and then there was that feeling of having cold naked rooms!!! Without the lights and bling and all that green..now all I was left with was cold white walls...YUK! So here comes my Momma to the rescue once again...arriving in here painting clothes we began painting the living room wall! I had a leftover gallon of Cathedral Blue paint that I used a few months ago on my bedroom walls so we decided to paint a wall blue!!! After we completed it...and standing back checking out our work, we decided it wasn't the feel I was going for. I wanted old crusty reclaimed rusting funky fun blue...well out came the sandpaper and the sanding started!!! What we achieved was just what I wanted!! I LOVE IT!!! My living room now is filled with a ton of color and lots of playful rusty crusty fun!!! I sanded down an old desk that my grandpa used to store painting stuff in...I drug it out of our shack in the backyard (I have always loved it...I remember when I was a little girl I wanted to live in that old shack when I grew up!!!) So now I have a room filled with old memories, lots of old toys, some rusty crusty finds, and a few new things!!
In the end we created a home that screams of Love, Family, Happiness and Fun!!! Lucky me again!!! I took these pics with my phone...so not so good...I can't find my camera anywhere...I think Babydoll took it into her room!! Oh no!!! The black hole has my camera!!! Hopefully it will be returned and I can post some better photos...until then this is what I got! and I'm still loving it!!!
Yippee and I'm feeling so much better!!! Almost over that dreadful sickness and back to normal....well as normal as I can get!!!! On with the year...what will it bring??? I'm hoping for some nice weather so I can get back to work on my Lollygag-Inn...JEEZ summer is almost here!!!! I think I hear a ROADTRIP calling us in the near future!!!
