Enjoying the Good Old Days

The Good Old Days....

this is annual event the City of Pacific Grove
puts on every year.

Lots of fun booths to look in and tons of food!

The view of all the vendor tents that lined the street....

Buckaroo started the morning off with Orange & Strawberry Smoothy...it was delish!!!

And of course he just HAD to try a Deep Fried Twinkie!!!
Face Painting too!!!

The day would not be complete with out trying to bring home a giant blow-up ball, bat or alien....lucky me!!!  He ended up with a ball AND a bat!!!  Whew...it was close...almost scored one of those aliens too...but LuCkY mE...not today!!!

This year large groups of residents held block yard sales before the festivities began....

It was fun getting there early and walking around the tiny streets of the city
hunting for treasures...and I found some
cute old stuff!

I just love this old puzzle of Little Black Sambo!!!

The pieces in this little puzzle are so cute!!! The duck is missing his head...but thats ok I plan on craftin' with these anyway!!!
1944 1st edition!!!
LoVe the frames on these...
Lots of old books...the pictures are so sweet to see!!!

This box is full of little reading books with the most adorable pictures!

This is one of the little books inside the box...isn't it just way too cute!!!

It was another fun filled weekend!!!

Had a Good Old Time wondering the
streets of the City of Pacific Grove
with my lil Buckaroo...

I grew up in P.G. so it was extra special roaming around my childhood stomping grounds...
it's funny and kinda strange because after
ALL these years...
not much has changed!?!?

Spring Duckie Blocks

My Momma and I got to craft together today!!! It is something we don't get to do very often...but are gonna make an effort to do it more!!!

Let me tell you...What a great time we had!!!

We started not knowing what our project was gonna be..and then the idea of decorating blocks sounded like so much fun.  She asked me.."What type of Easter/Spring stuff do you have?"...and I responded..."Oh my... I don't think I have any!"...Well as we started digging through my bins of stuff...it turned out I had a pretty good stash of goodies.  So has we gathered up what we wanted..and started cutting, gluing and sticking the goodies together.. we ended up creating these cute little blocks topped with honeycomb feathered duckies!!!

I didn't have a chance to snap a photo...so I had to "borrow" this one off her blog!!!
Thanks Momma!!!

If you would like to see more pic's of these adorable little duckies......take a paddle over to her site at http://www.gammyslittlehouse.blogspot.com/

She was so kind to invite all of her blogging buddies to fly on over to my site and she even linked my blog to her post.  What a sweet Momma!!! So if you took her up on the invitation and flew on over... A huge WELCOME to you and it is such a pleasure having you visit me at Lollygag-Inn...hope you come again real soon!
